Settings

You are reading the documentation for version 1.2.0. Go to the current version (1.2.1)

This part is a reference, with one page for each category of settings and one line for each setting. The other parts explain how you use a setting; this part shows where it is.

Each category opens in a window of its own. Choose General…, Cue list…, Outputs… or Performance… under Settings in the menu bar. The settings of a module are under Modules, Manage modules… opens the page where you switch modules on and off, and the Info page opens with Help → About this program….

Closing the window changes only what you changed. When you press OK after changing a setting, the program applies that setting and nothing else. When you press Cancel, or OK without a change, nothing happens to the playouts.

PageWhat it contains
GeneralThe language, the display, safety and remote control.
Cue listThe hold image, the defaults for new cues, the countdown and the music fade-out.
OutputsAll settings of each playout, and the canvas that the playouts share.
PerformanceHow this computer uses its graphics card for video and web pages.
ModulesThe cue types in the toolbar, and the modules that are switched on.
InfoThe version, the engine, the account, the updates and the licence.

There are six categories, and Outputs is the largest. It contains the number of playouts and, for each playout, the colour, whether the playout starts live, the audio track and the hotkeys.

A module that is switched on adds a page for its category to the list on the left, under Modules.

When a setting takes effect

Most settings take effect immediately. Two do not, and the window shows this on the line of the setting. Language changes most of the interface immediately, and a few texts after a restart. Remote control takes effect at the next start. The canvas changes immediately, but you cannot change it while the program is streaming or recording.
