A cue list is a file, and the material in it consists of more files. Sooner or later, you need to take all of it to another building. The pages in this part go from adding material to a list to sending a complete show.
| Page | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Dragging files in | What the program recognises, where it places the material, and what happens to other files. |
| Saving and opening lists | The .playout file, and how to continue with yesterday’s list. |
| Importing and exporting | One window to export a list, a group or a selection, and one window to import it where you want it. |
| Sharing a group | How to give one block to another location. |
| Bundles | A list that contains its media. |
| Where your files live | The folders in Documents, and what each folder is for. |
The most important difference
A list refers to media, and a bundle contains the media.
In one building, where every computer has access to the same server, a list is enough and nothing needs to be copied twice. In another building, a list arrives without anything to play, so there you need a bundle.
When a show works in one place and not in another, this difference is almost always the cause.
