A rundown is a file, the material it points at is more files, and sooner or later somebody has to take the whole thing to another building. This part is about all of that.
| Page | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Dragging files in | What the program recognises, where it lands, and what happens to the rest. |
| Saving and opening lists | The .playout file, and coming back to yesterday’s show. |
| Sharing a group | Handing one block to another location. |
| Bundles | A rundown with its media inside it. |
| Where your files live | The folders in Documents, and what belongs where. |
The distinction that matters
A list points at media. A bundle contains it.
Within one building, where every machine reaches the same server, a list is enough and nothing is copied twice. Between buildings, a list arrives with nothing to play — and that is what bundles are for.
Almost every “it worked here but not there” comes down to that one difference.
