The GO button is not always where the operator is. This part covers the three ways to fire a cue without touching the window: an assigned key, a control panel on the network, and whatever you build yourself on top of the same connection.

One layer underneath
A hotkey and a control-panel button do exactly the same thing. Both go through the same layer inside the program, so a Stream Deck key and a keyboard shortcut can never drift apart in what they do.
That is worth knowing when something behaves unexpectedly: the cause is in the list or the cue, never in which of the two you pressed.
