This part is for the person who looks after the machine, not the person who operates it on Sunday. Installing, updating, where things live, and why the engine underneath is deliberately frozen.
| Page | What it covers |
|---|---|
| System requirements | What the machine needs. |
| The installation in detail | What the setup does, step by step. |
| Alongside an existing OBS | Why yours is untouched, and the one rule. |
| The pinned engine | Why it does not update itself. |
| Updating | How a new version arrives. |
| Your own name and logo | What the operator sees instead of the engine. |
| Where the files live | Program, configuration, logs. |
| Languages | The four languages, and where the texts come from. |
The principle behind this part
A broadcast machine should be boring. Nothing updates itself, nothing changes overnight, and what worked last Sunday works this Sunday.
Most of the decisions described here follow from that one idea.
