elbizcochoParticipantThese are due to the needs of the team I work with
1. Promotional overlays
Just like the logo, a PNG or a WebM to be shown on screen briefly, with a few seconds or minutes of delay and the possibility of adding more in a cue.2. Emergency list
The name explains it itself—a list of cues to show when the main list has finished.3. Multiple overlays in the same cue
Again, the name explains it itself. It can be used to show programming block logos, like for movies or musicals.4. Timing
Choose what time a list will start, at what time (with seconds) certain cues will be played, and see what time the list ends.5. HTML overlays
Have the ability to insert a clock, a counter, or things like that.6. Locking the control
It’s happened internally that while scheduling, someone clicks a cue by accident or something similar, and the whole thing on air gets messed up.7. Ability to cut cues
It’s useful for easily adding segments or promos.8. Force Cue Advance
This is useful when the programming is running late, so you don’t need manual control to trigger a cue at a specific time.
9. Remote Scheduling
This sounds complicated… but it would be fantastic to be able to connect to a playout from the same program, from another city… or even another continent, without having to use remote desktop software like Parsec or something similar, with the host choosing which folders the user can access for adding, modifying, or deleting (though I find that unlikely).
Program
1. Make the windows resizable
With windows like the logo designer or the subtitle designer, at low resolutions (like in my case, 133×768), the screen hides some of the content. Making it impossible to apply changes (with logos from the animated overlays update) or change certain parameters that are at the bottom.
2. Action for follow
Set the default action of “follow” to “next,” that would be the normal behavior of a playout. -
